It is all about perspective. A wastewater stream treated with technology can give us:

Be it Industrial or Urban, wastewater presents significant sustainability challenges to the environment which makes the treatment mandatory before reuse or discharge. Treatment of wastewater ensures that harmful/toxic substances are removed and well-handled. Other than social and ethical responsibility towards environment, industries are required by the authorities to comply with the permissible discharge standards/limits. Treatment of wastewater is not just a legal requirement, reuse of treated water, production of biofuels & biofertilizers can save a lot of money as well.
Sludge, a byproduct of wastewater treatment, handling and disposing of which has been another challenge. Primary & activated sludge should not simply be considered as waste and dumped away. Further treatment of sludge for safer disposal can save the environmental threats as well as reduced volumes can help transport & confine the waste easily. Other than that, further processing of sludge can produce biofuels which can be used as fuel within the industry. Moreover, further treatment of sludge can produce biofertilizers which can be used in advanced agriculture.
We provide a range of wastewater treatment systems suitable for all major industries including Dairy & Beverages, Poultry & Meat, Pharma & HPC. We offer customized solutions tailored to meet treatment challenges posed by each industry and/or manufacturing process. The extent of treatment and components of proposed solution are based on the properties of wastewater, discharge limits & intended use of the treated water which may involve engaging some or all the processes steps mentioned below.
Primary treatment
The main purpose of this step is usually to get rid of suspended solids, grit, fat & grease. Along with the injection of chemical reagents some or all the following processes may be used to achieve the required results.
- Balancing & Equalization
- Screening & Filtration
- Flocculation & Coagulation

Secondary treatment
A biological treatment step, sometimes aided with the use of chemical reagents to eliminate Carbon, Nitrogen & Phosphorus based pollutants contained in wastewater. Depending on the quality of the wastewater & expected outcome, some or all the following processes may be engaged.
- Aerobic Treatment (ASP/SBR/SBBR/MBR/MBBR/FBR/FBBR)
- Anaerobic Treatment (Lagoons/Sludge Blanket/Filter Reactor)
- Clarification/Filtration
- Membrane Separation
Tertiary treatment
This step is more like a conditioning and purification step aiming at removal of remaining dissolved solids, disinfection, chemical treatment & pH balancing to make the water fit for reuse for specific applications. May involve some or all of:
- Disinfection (Chlorination/UV radiation)
- Chemical Treatment/pH balancing
- Filtration (Micro/Ultra/Nano)
- Reverse Osmosis
- Ion Exchange
- Activated Carbon Filters

Sludge treatment
Recovering, recycling & disposal of sludge has been a challenge in wastewater treatment process. However, thanks to the scientific research and emerging technologies making it possible to process this sludge further to produce Biogas, Biofertilizer or easy to dispose and less harmful, compact dewatered sludge cake. Some of the process which might be used for sludge handling/treatment are as under:
- Aerobic Sludge Digesters
- Anaerobic Sludge Digesters
- Sludge dewatering Systems
